il Buco Pig Roast Cancelled this Year....

  Dear Fellow neighbors and friends,

I want to thank you all for you incredible support regarding the il Buco Pig Roast.  It has meant the world to us that the community has enjoyed and appreciated this event for all that we hoped it would be.

Regretfully, we have decided to cancel the Pig Roast for this year. Due to my recent marriage and the incredible amount of energy that we are devoting to our new project at 53 Great Jones, we do not want to go to battle at this time and be a part of any kind of antagonism in the neighborhood.  We have presented the outpouring of letters showing your support which we have been receiving to the Community Board on August 5th in the hope that they will understand the real value of this event, and to make possible the future of this event.

 Fondly & Gratefully,

Donna Lennard

Villa Arboleda, a stunning villa on the north coast of the Dominican Republic

Dear Friends of Il Buco

As the winter chill settles in, many of us see Il Buco as a cosy refuge.  The food is comforting, and you almost feel as if there is a roaring fire going when you walk in from New York's sometimes inclement weather.

If you're looking for more warmth -- and beach and sunshine as well -- consider Villa Arboleda, a stunning villa on the north coast of the Dominican Republic in the chic town of Las Terrenas.  The house is owned by another Friend and 47 Bond building resident, Justin Woddis, who is offering a 15% discount to our il Buco Friends!  You and up to nine others can enjoy the luxiours Villa Arboleda for the unprincely sum of only $390 a night.

Lots of beautiful pictures, as well as house and contact details, at www.thearboleda.com
